Jagwire is launching five products aimed at the modern bike with internal cable routing, and at the workshop time it costs. Jagwire opens the range with a Pro LR3 brake rotor with two-piece construction, offered from 140 to 220 mm. The Pro Connect adapter kits let a workshop cover seven modern brake brands from a single hose. Added to these are a hose reworked for internal routing and two tools, including a magnetic-wire routing kit.

As bikes get better looking, they get more painful to repair: hoses that disappear into the handlebars and come back out under the bottom bracket have brought elegance — at the cost of workshop hours, the ground Jagwire is now ploughing.
The two-piece Jagwire Pro LR3 rotor
The first of the five products is a brake rotor — “At the performance end of the range is the new Pro LR3 Disc Brake Rotor”, as Alex Berger presents it — a rotor that succeeds the Pro LR2 and LR2-E. “Its premium two-piece construction combines a stainless-steel braking track with an aluminum spider to balance braking performance, stiffness and weight”, explains Alex Berger, European Brand Manager at Jagwire, in an article sponsored by the brand and published on the trade site Bike Europe .
The figures quoted in the table (10% braking power, 15% resistance to warping) are manufacturer numbers, carried over as they stand by the sponsored content published on Bike Europe, with no independent measurement. Two details can be added: a patented “J”-shaped wear indicator built into the rotor, to judge its condition by eye, and, on the official product page, a braking track described as “exclusively optimized high-heat-dissipation”, meant to reduce the risk of heat fade — again a brand claim, not measured.
One hose, seven brake brands
Pro Connect, next, is aimed at workshops: “Instead of requiring a complete dedicated hose kit for every brake system, workshops can combine the Jagwire Pro Connect hose with the appropriate system-specific fittings”, writes this sponsored content published on Bike Europe.
“Adapter kits cover modern brakes from Shimano, SRAM, Avid, Magura, Hayes, Tektro and TRP”, writes the same content, with stainless steel banjo fittings. The hose takes mineral oil just as well as DOT fluid — “The hose supports both mineral oil and DOT brake fluids”, notes Alex Berger — which is what makes the idea workable: the seven brands listed are split between the two fluid families.
The hose itself has been reworked for installation and brake feel: against what it describes as premium competitors, Jagwire claims “40% greater flexibility and 50% lower routing resistance”, and 18% more braking responsiveness over its previous HFK hose, which it puts down to reduced expansion under pressure — figures announced by the manufacturer.
Two tools for internally routed frames
The fourth product targets a job that this same sponsored content describes as one of the most time-consuming in the workshop: routing a cable through a closed frame. The Elite Internal Routing Tool brings together, according to the same source, a flexible magnet, magnetic wire, a retrieval hook and adapters (see table), for mechanical cables as well as hydraulic hoses and electronic wires.
The fifth is a bleed kit for Shimano hydraulic brakes, with a clear cup for spotting bubbles (details in the table).
Jagwire sums up the logic as follows, in its sponsored content: the rotor for braking, the hose and Pro Connect for hydraulic servicing and compatibility, the tools for installation. The new products will be sold online as well as through retailers, the brand says, with one exclusive distributor per country.
