Zwift is renewing its indoor bike. The Ride V2 now fits riders from 146 to 198 cm, against 152 to 198 cm previously, with a minimum saddle height brought down from 60 to 56.75 centimetres. The Bear Claw crank arms, previously offered as a $99 option according to Zwift Insider, are now fitted as standard, and a new seatpost top adds 30 millimetres of fore-aft adjustment across four positions. On the brand’s European store, the bundle with the Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 trainer is listed at €1,199.99. Zwift says the V2 is “available today” at the same price as the previous one, and states that owners of the first Ride will be able to buy the adjustable crank arms and the new seatpost separately on Zwift.com.

The brand’s indoor bike moves to a second generation with the Zwift Ride V2. The changes presented by the brand and detailed by Zwift Insider concern riding position: frame size, crank length, saddle fore-aft position and handlebar shape.
Zwift Ride V2: a frame that goes lower
“While the V1’s stated rider size range was 152-198 cm with a minimum saddle height of 60 cm, the V2’s stated size range is 146-198 cm with a minimum saddle height of 56.75cm”, notes Zwift Insider. Zwift Insider puts a figure on the gap: “Minimum rider height is now 4’10” (146cm), which is 2″ (6 cm) shorter than the V1.” According to road.cc, the frame is “more compact”.
The Bear Claw crank arms are no longer an option
“Probably the most-requested upgrade on the Zwift Ride, these crank arms, offering 5 crank length options, have been available as a $99 upgrade option for over a year”, writes Zwift Insider. They are now fitted as standard; the list of lengths recorded on the spec sheet includes 172.5 mm.
Saddle adjustment moves forward alongside it: “A redesigned seat post topper lets you place the saddle clamp in 4 different fore-aft positions for an additional 30mm of fore-aft adjustability.” The handlebar, for its part, has been reworked — “The new Ride’s handlebars are oversized on the tops, like most modern bars, providing a much more comfortable grip surface” — after criticism of the first version, whose “The narrow, uniform thickness of the original Zwift Ride’s handlebars didn’t win many fan awards, particularly for riders with larger hands”.
Price: no increase announced
On Zwift’s European store, checked on 9 September, the “Zwift Ride with KICKR CORE 2” bundle is listed at €1,199.99. In the United Kingdom, road.cc gives “£1,099.99” for the same combination. Zwift has also announced a series of software updates for the autumn, including a Watopia expansion expected on “26 October”.
