On 18 August, Garmin announced a version of its high-end indoor trainer that ships ready to ride: the Tacx NEO 2T with Zwift Cog and Click. The bundle brings together the trainer, the Zwift Cog already fitted in place of the cassette and the Zwift Click handlebar controller, with no extra tools, setup or calibration to plan for. The Cog fits almost any 8- to 13-speed bike, and Garmin claims 1% accuracy on power as well as cadence. On Garmin’s French product page, consulted on 21 August, the bundle is listed at €999.99.

The indoor season is coming, and Garmin has chosen to tackle the subject from the setup angle. On 18 August, the brand announced the Tacx NEO 2T with Zwift Cog and Click, a version of its Tacx NEO 2T trainer sold with the Zwift accessories already installed. The press release presents it as “ready to ride in Zwift and ROUVY right out of the box, eliminating the need for extra tools, setup or calibration”.
What the Garmin Tacx NEO 2T gains from being sold as a bundle
According to the press release, the Zwift Cog “replaces a standard cassette and is compatible with almost any 8- to 13-speed bike”, which removes the need to match the trainer’s freehub body to the bike’s groupset.
The Zwift Click controller takes over at the handlebars. According to the press release, it “offers seamless and silent virtual shifting and allows riders to steer, navigate game menus, give encouraging “ride-ons” and more from their handlebars while riding in Zwift”. In other words, you no longer shift mechanically: the bike’s drivetrain stays on its sprocket, and the gears are simulated by the game.
The rest of the argument rests on the machine itself. Garmin claims power and cadence data accurate to 1%, and session data displayed in real time in Zwift and ROUVY, before being broken down in the Garmin Connect app, provided that automatic session upload is enabled.
€999.99 in France, and two options that stay separate
The French product page lists it at €999.99. In its press release, Garmin adds an offer: buyers who are new Zwift subscribers “are eligible for a free Zwift membership offer”.
Two details are worth a closer look. The Tacx NEO Motion Plates are announced as “sold separately”. So is the Tacx Alpine gradient simulator, which “adds simulated ascents up to 25% and descents down to -10%”. The bundle therefore makes the trainer immediately usable, but the press release announces both accessories as “sold separately”.
One condition remains that the bundle does not lift: Zwift and ROUVY are paid services — the press release attaches a “Subscription required” note to every mention of them. The French product page includes “1 month of Zwift software subscription” in the box.
