Peugeot Cycles unveiled its new generation of electric bikes at Eurobike 2026, the first concrete move in a relaunch plan run under licence through to 2042. Four models share a « capsule » livery in the colours of the 24 Hours of Le Mans: an eG01 gravel bike and an eX01 city bike powered by Bosch, plus an eT01 FS full-suspension trekking bike and an eM01 FS electric mountain bike driven by Avinox, the motor brand born at DJI. The limited edition will be delivered in October 2026; the two Avinox-powered models will have to wait until spring 2027. Prices, for the most part, have yet to be made official.

Peugeot and bicycles go back a long way — a story that has largely lain dormant in recent years. Having passed from Cycleurope to Rebirth, the brand made the return of its bikes official at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with a licence now running through to 2042 and a relaunch plan to go with it. First real catalogue: four electric bikes revealed at Eurobike 2026, all wearing the same outfit.
A single outfit, that of the 24 Hours of Le Mans
The first thing they share, and not the least: every bike wears exactly the same colour scheme. It is a « capsule », a special edition that takes up the livery of the 9X8, the Hypercar Peugeot races at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with a nod to the 208 GTi. Enough to give the range genuine visual coherence at first glance, and to set the sporting scene for this comeback.
Two bikes running Bosch: a gravel bike and a city bike
Beneath this shared skin, the first two models come with Bosch assistance. The eG01 is a gravel bike with an aluminium frame and carbon fork, driven by a Bosch Performance Line SX (55 Nm, 600 W peak) fed by a 600 Wh battery. On the equipment side, it goes for a 12-speed Shimano GRX 822 drivetrain, GRX 610 hydraulic disc brakes, DT Swiss wheels and Michelin 700x42C tyres.
The eX01, for its part, plays the versatile rigid city bike card, with no suspension and a Bosch Performance Line motor. Its distinctive feature is its recycled thermoplastic frame, offered in a step-through or an open version. Rear rack, lighting and kickstand are all included. It will be joined by an even more affordable eC01, absent from the Eurobike stand but already announced.
Two bikes running Avinox, the motor that came from DJI
This is the other surprise of the comeback. For its two most characterful models, Peugeot turned neither to Bosch nor to Shimano for the motor, but to Avinox — the brand born at DJI, the drone giant, since spun off on its own. Seeing this motor unit, already much discussed in the trade, under the frame of a Peugeot is something of a surprise.
The eT01 FS is a full-suspension trekking bike (100 mm at the front, 90 mm at the rear), fitted with a 110 Nm Avinox M2, an 800 Wh battery and an 11-speed Shimano Cues derailleur. It could start at around €3 290, a price Peugeot has not yet made official.
More upmarket and frankly sporty, the eM01 FS is a 29-inch electric mountain bike with an aluminium frame, fitted with Rockshox dual suspension and a 160 mm fork. It carries the big Avinox M2S motor and its maximum torque of 150 Nm, a fixed 800 Wh battery, a 12-speed Shimano SLX derailleur, four-piston hydraulic disc brakes, a dropper post and Michelin tyres.

A two-stage arrival, from October to spring 2027
The first « new generation » Peugeot electric bikes will be those of the limited edition. The eG01, eC01 and eX01 will open the ball, with delivery scheduled for October 2026. The two Avinox-powered models, the eT01 and the eM01, will follow later, in spring 2027.
The full price list is still missing, and it will take a ride to judge. But finding the Lion — Peugeot’s emblem — on an Eurobike stand, with a motor as closely watched as the Avinox under the frame, already says a lot about the ambition on display for this comeback.
