With the Current LTD, the American brand takes its Current electric mountain bike and turns it into a small collector’s series, loaded with high-end components.

A numbered Current LTD, limited to 99 units

The official product page stresses its rarity: only 99 bikes worldwide, paint reserved for the series and frames numbered one by one, which, the brand writes, make it as much a collector’s item as a bike to ride. The frame combines a carbon front triangle with a 6061 aluminium rear triangle.

The Ultro X motor and an 800 Wh battery

The Current LTD gets the 110 Nm Ultro X mid-drive motor, raised to 120 Nm in Boost mode, and an integrated 800 Wh battery. The bike is connected to the brand’s ACU smart ecosystem. Aventon quotes IPX6 water resistance for the bike and IP67 for the motor.

The suspension relies on a 150 mm RockShox Lyrik Ultimate fork and a Super Deluxe Ultimate shock. The drivetrain is a 12-speed SRAM X0 Eagle AXS T-Type, with stopping handled by 4-piston Maven Ultimate brakes with carbon levers. The Crankbrothers Enduro Synthesis Alloy 2.0 wheels spin on Industry 9 hubs, shod with a 29×2.5-inch Maxxis Assegai up front, and the carbon Truvativ Descendant handlebar measures 800 mm.
