IN BRIEF

The 6066 aluminium frame gets new cable routing: the cables enter through the head tube and are guided inside the front triangle. The build pairs a 140 mm RockShox Lyrik Ultimate fork with a RockShox Super Deluxe Select shock for 125 mm of rear travel, 29-inch wheels and a Shimano XT drivetrain. The bike is available to pre-order in the Pure White colourway.

What changes on the Commencal T.E.M.P.O. V2

Commencal presents the T.E.M.P.O. V2 as the return of its 125 mm trail bike, with an updated frame and “redesigned routing”. In practice, the official product page states that the cables now run through the head tube and are then guided inside the front triangle. The frame is still made of triple-butted 6066 aluminium, and weighs 3.44 kg.

A RockShox and Shimano XT build

Up front, a 140 mm RockShox Lyrik Ultimate fork; the frame accepts a 140 to 150 mm fork. At the rear, a RockShox Super Deluxe Select shock handles the 125 mm of travel. Commencal states that the DT Swiss XM1700 wheels gain in precision and strength thanks to a new asymmetric rim. They are shod with a Maxxis Minion DHR II up front and a Maxxis Dissector at the rear.

The drivetrain is Shimano XT, with a 32-tooth chainring. So are the brakes: XT 4-piston callipers, with a 203 mm rotor up front and a 180 mm rotor at the rear. The complete bike weighs 15 kg in size S, without pedals.
