IN BRIEF — Campagnolo unveiled the Zonda Carbon on 1 July 2026, an “all-road” wheel with a 50 mm carbon rim priced at €1,420 — €870 less than its Bora X gravel wheels. The Italian brand presents it as “the most direct way in” to its carbon wheel range.
The Zonda Carbon, the new entry point to the range
The rim, made of high-modulus unidirectional carbon, has a 50 mm profile and carries the C-Lux finish moulded in-house at Campagnolo — the same technique used on the Bora and Record 13 wheels. The 25 mm internal width (hooked) takes tubeless tyres from 29 to 40 mm, enough to cover road riding as well as light gravel.
A Campagnolo Zonda Carbon hub true to the house style
The hub carries the brand’s signature G3 spoke lacing — an asymmetric build meant to improve lateral stiffness and power transfer — as well as the adjustable Cup & Cone bearing system, which Campagnolo highlights for how it lasts over time rather than sealed cartridges that have to be replaced. Like the Record 13 groupset, the Zonda Carbon is made entirely in Europe.
A price that breaks with the house’s habits
At €1,420 a pair, the Zonda Carbon costs €870 less than the brand’s Bora X gravel wheels. It is a way for Campagnolo, used to premium prices, to offer a more affordable carbon wheel without giving up its expertise — and to answer the growing demand for versatile wheels that can go from a road ride to a gravel outing without changing bikes.
