IN BRIEF
The NOBL AR Series is a new range of road and “all-road” carbon wheels in two depths, 40 and 50 mm. The AR40 rim weighs 350 g, and the brand presents it as its lightest road platform. Both rims keep a hooked bead and a 25 mm internal width, for tyres from 28 to 45 mm inflated up to 80 psi. The wheelset drops to 1,124 g in AR40 form on DT Swiss 180 hubs and Berd spokes.

The name says what it is for: AR stands for “all-road”. NOBL gives its own advice on choosing between it and its FAR gravel range: the AR for tyres under 40 mm or when the road dominates; the FAR from 40 mm upwards, or for rougher gravel and mixed terrain.
NOBL AR carbon wheels with a 350 g rim
The official product page lists 350 g for the AR40 rim, in 700c and 24 holes. The brand presents it as its lightest road platform to date, designed to bring climbing efficiency to a versatile 40 mm wheel. The AR50 goes up to a 50 mm depth for 380 g, with T1000 carbon walls that NOBL highlights for stiffness and power transfer.
Built as a pair, the AR40s weigh 1,124 g on DT Swiss 180 hubs with Berd spokes, and 1,329 g on Industry Nine Solix hubs. In the same builds, the AR50s weigh 1,184 g and 1,389 g.

A hooked bead kept for wide road tyres
The profile is a teardrop shape, with a 25 mm internal width and a 33.5 mm maximum external width on the AR40. NOBL says it is “engineered for the fastest road tires on the market”. The rim is hooked, and the brand specifies that it accepts tyres from 28 to 45 mm up to 80 psi.
A choice of hubs and spokes
The shop offers builds on DT Swiss 180, 350 and 240 EXP or Industry Nine Solix hubs. In a custom build, the list grows: Chris King, P321 RG3, Onyx Vesper and Hope Pro 5 join DT Swiss and Industry Nine. For spokes, there are three options: Alpina Extralite, Sapim CX-Ray and Berd Polylight. The weights of 1,124 g and 1,184 g announced by NOBL correspond to the builds with Berd spokes.
The rim carries a lifetime warranty. Sold individually, the AR40 rim is listed at 550 dollars on NOBL’s official shop: viewed from France on 6 November, the product page showed its price in dollars.
