IN BRIEF
Orbea is unveiling the third generation of its lightweight Rise electric mountain bike. It gets the new 2.3 kg Shimano EP810 motor, in an RS version tuned by Orbea, which claims up to 100 Nm and 600 W. The high-modulus OMR carbon frame gives starting weights of 17 kg for the Rise SL (140 mm of travel) and 18 kg for the Rise LT (160 mm front, 150 mm rear). Batteries are 420 or 630 Wh, with an optional 210 Wh range extender.

Orbea is presenting this third-generation Rise under the slogan “When Everything Clicks”. The motor changes, so does the seatpost, and the bike comes in two versions with different amounts of travel.
The Orbea Rise moves to the Shimano EP810
The new Shimano EP810 motor weighs 2.3 kg. Orbea drives it with its RS firmware, which sharpens the power delivery curve: on the Rise, the brand claims up to 100 Nm of torque and 600 W peak.
On the energy side, two main batteries are offered: 420 Wh for 1.9 kg, for riders who put lightness first, and 630 Wh for 2.9 kg, for long days out. A 210 Wh range extender weighing one kilo can be added in the bottle cage.

A 17 kg Rise SL, a more aggressive Rise LT
The frame is moulded in high-modulus OMR carbon, with stiffness that Orbea says is tuned to each size. Orbea claims a starting weight of 17 kg for the Rise SL and 18 kg for the Rise LT.
The two versions each have their own character. The Rise SL targets fast trail riding, with 140 mm of travel front and rear. The more aggressive Rise LT goes up to 160 mm at the front and 150 mm at the rear. It adds geometry adjustment via a FlipChip and accepts a mullet set-up, with a smaller rear wheel.

A seatpost that stops halfway
The Rise also gets the new MC10-RS Smart Dropper seatpost: 240 mm of travel for 548 g. A time-of-flight (ToF) sensor lets it stop at an intermediate position, the Partial Drop mode, handy in technical sections. In Ready-To-Drop mode, a single press is enough, then the saddle drops whenever you want.
