State Bicycle Co. turns its 4130 Fixed Gear into a road bike: the 4130 Road v2. Chromoly steel frame and fork, a 1×8 drivetrain and, new to this version, Sensah Reflex shifters integrated into the bar in place of the down-tube shifters. It rolls on 38 mm tyres and uses rim brakes. Its online shop lists it at €579.95 from France ($649.99 in the United States). State is also presenting a flat-bar 4130 All-Road and highlighting the 48-tooth aero crankset developed with SRAM that equips its Carbon Road.

State Bicycle Co.’s steel road bike is evolving. The brand puts it plainly: “We took our best-selling 4130 Fixed Gear and made it a road bike”. The 4130 Road v2 keeps the double-butted, TIG-welded chromoly frame and pairs it with a fork in the same steel.
State 4130 Road v2: shifting moves to the bar
According to State, the first version used down-tube shifters. The 4130 Road v2 adopts Sensah Reflex shifters integrated into the bar, for a 1×8 drivetrain: a CNC-machined 42-tooth chainring and a SunRace CSM86 11-28 cassette. The manufacturer justifies the eight speeds by a chain and cassette that cost less than twelve-speed ones.
The rest of the build follows the same logic of common standards, according to the product page: 1-1/8″ steerer, 68 mm English threaded bottom bracket, two bottle cage mounts, aluminium dual-pivot rim brake callipers, 700c double-wall rims and 38 mm CST Metropolitan Escape tyres. Nylon flat pedals are included. Sizes range from 49 to 62 cm.
A flat-bar 4130 All-Road
Alongside it, State is presenting the 4130 All-Road Flat Bar, a flat-bar chromoly steel all-road bike. It gets a MicroShift Advent X 1×10 drivetrain (40-tooth chainring, 11-46 cassette), hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors, a UDH hanger and a 12 x 142 mm thru-axle. It comes in 650b with 2.1-inch Vittoria Barzo tyres; according to State’s product page viewed on 26/09/2026, these tyres are “not rated tubeless”. The frame takes up to 2.4 inches in 650b and 2.25 inches in 700c, with 450 mm chainstays and fully external cable routing. Price shown from France: €801.95 ($899.99 in the United States).
A SRAM aero crankset exclusive to State
On the carbon side, Bikerumor highlights the Carbon Road in its 1x Aero version. According to State, this build pairs the SRAM Rival XPLR AXS 13-speed groupset, a 10-46 cassette and a 48-tooth aero crankset developed with SRAM, which the brand presents as exclusive. It is listed at €2,673.95 from France and $2,999.99 in the United States.
