IN BRIEF
Eurobike 2026 welcomed 15,130 trade visitors to Frankfurt, half as many as in 2025 (31,270). The number of exhibitors was halved as well (800 against 1,500), and the festival day drew 8,970 visitors compared with 30,420 last year across the two festival days. The organiser puts forward a qualitative argument: 71% of attendees were decision-makers, against 58% in 2025. The next edition will run from 1 to 3 September 2027 at Messe Frankfurt, in a calendar that is now biennial.
Fairnamic, the organiser of Eurobike, published its attendance figures on 29 June 2026: 15,130 trade visitors made the trip to Messe Frankfurt. That is 52% fewer than in 2025, which had drawn 31,270 attendees. On the exhibitor side, the fall is of the same order: 800 companies present, against 1,500 the previous year. Figures that Fairnamic places in the context of a deliberate transformation of the show’s format.
Half as many visitors, half as many exhibitors
Of the 15,130 trade visitors counted, 60% came from abroad — a higher international share than in previous years. The Festival Day, open to the general public, brought together 8,970 keen cyclists against 30,420 across the two festival days of 2025: a 71% drop. In terms of media coverage, Fairnamic reports more than 440 million contacts, with over 600 accredited journalists on site and more than 300 videos published on YouTube during the week of the show.
Quality over quantity, according to Fairnamic
To put these figures in perspective, the organiser puts forward a qualitative argument: 71% of trade visitors were senior executives or decision-makers, against 58% in 2025. The make-up of the audience has therefore changed, even if the total volume has halved. Philipp Ferger, managing director of Fairnamic, sums up the official position:
Eurobike 2026 went exactly as we expected together with the industry: a show in transformation.

Matthias Pietsch, the show’s new director, for his part spoke of “a strong will across the whole industry to shape the future of this flagship show together”, and said exhibitor feedback would be carefully assessed to define the 2027 format.
Exhibitors broadly satisfied
On the participants’ side, the official feedback is positive. Roman Arnold, founder and executive chairman of Canyon Bicycles, said that Eurobike 2026 had “far exceeded [their] expectations”. That kind of response contrasts with the fall in the raw figures, and underlines that for some exhibitors the smaller number of visitors may have made for more focused conversations with buyers and distributors.
The show also hosted competitions and demonstrations alongside the trade halls — a strand that is being reinforced to justify keeping a public day, even a reduced one.
September 2027 in Frankfurt, then 2029
The next edition of Eurobike will run from 1 to 3 September 2027 at Messe Frankfurt. The show is moving to a biennial calendar: after 2027, the following edition is planned for 2029. The move to September matches the show’s historic slot, back when it was still held in Friedrichshafen. The format will be more firmly focused on B2B, over a shorter run.
