Pedego Holdings launched the first two models in its new Pedego 2.0 range on 18 July 2026: the Ridge Rider 2, an all-round electric-assist bike, and the Latch 2, a compact folding model. Both share the same technical base, with a 750 W motor delivering 90 N·m of torque and an 835 Wh battery certified to UL2271. The Ridge Rider 2 is listed at $2,195 ($1,999 as a launch price until 16 August), the Latch 2 at $1,695. Both models come with a five-year warranty, a first for the Californian brand.

Pedego Holdings is making a big move for summer 2026. The Californian e-bike brand is launching two models at once, cut out for very different uses but built on the same technical platform. The company presents this double launch as the start of a new series, named Pedego 2.0.
An off-road cousin and a folding one
The Ridge Rider 2 uses an upright riding position and an off-road-looking frame, designed, according to the brand, to go from city streets to gravel tracks on a weekend ride. It runs a fork with 80 mm of travel and 27.5 x 2.4in tyres.
The Latch 2, for its part, goes for the compact format: an open step-through frame and a folding structure, with wide 20 x 3.0in tyres to make up for their small diameter. Pedego bills it as the most aggressively priced bike in its history.
Pedego 2.0: a shared platform, an unprecedented warranty
Under different bodywork, the two bikes share the same core: a 750 W motor with 90 N·m of torque, run by the brand’s in-house PedalSense controller paired with field-oriented Sinewave control, and a 48 V 17.4 Ah (835 Wh) battery with LG cells, certified to the UL2271 safety standard.
The Ridge Rider 2 and Latch 2 are only the beginning. With four more Pedego models due before the end of the year, we are fundamentally redefining what riders and dealers can expect from the brand.

Both models are covered by a five-year limited warranty, a length the brand had never offered before. The Ridge Rider 2 and Latch 2 are available now from Pedego dealers in the United States, where the brand has announced four more models in the 2.0 range before the end of the year.
