Eiros, a carbon parts maker based near Barcelona, has unveiled the Empor-E, an electric enduro mountain bike limited to 100 units worldwide. The brand claims 18.5 kg for the bike, which is powered by the Mahle M40 motor, rated at up to 850 W and 105 Nm. The frame, swingarm, linkages, handlebar and saddle are carbon, designed and handmade by Eiros. The official product page lists it at €19,500.

Eiros makes carbon bicycle parts: handlebars, seatposts, chainrings. With the Empor-E, the company from Sant Quirze del Vallès, in the province of Barcelona, is offering a complete electric enduro mountain bike, built in a very limited run.
An Eiros Empor-E that is carbon right down to the saddle
According to the official product page, the frame, swingarm, suspension linkages, chain guide, handlebar and saddle were designed and handmade by Eiros. The bolts and axles are titanium. The official product page claims a 1.2 kg frame. The brand claims 18.5 kg for this electric mountain bike; as of 28 September, Eiros’s official product page did not state which frame size this weight refers to, and Electric MTB UK notes that it is a manufacturer figure and that it has neither weighed nor ridden the bike.
Mahle M40 motor and Öhlins suspension
Assistance comes from the Mahle M40 motor, rated at up to 850 W and 105 Nm. The official product page mentions an 800 Wh aluminium iM8 battery and claims a range of up to 150 km or 2,500 m of climbing. Suspension is handled by Öhlins, with a 170 mm RXF 38 m.3 fork and a TTX2 Air m.2 shock. The build includes Brembo brakes and DT Swiss HXC 1200 wheels, 29 inches at the front and 27.5 inches at the rear according to Electric MTB UK.
Only 100 Empor-E units will be produced. As of 28 September, Eiros’s product page listed it at €19,500.
