IN BRIEF
RockShox is asking owners of certain 2027-generation (MY27) ZEB forks, unveiled in April 2026, to stop riding them. The notice covers the ZEB Ultimate, ZEB Ultimate Flight Attendant, ZEB Select+ and ZEB Select with serial numbers from 07T6XXXXXXXX to 42T6XXXXXXXX. The cause: an out-of-specification upper tube, which can lead to a sudden loss of air pressure. The brand is still evaluating the problem and promises that, if action is needed, it will be carried out at no cost.
| Affected models | ZEB Ultimate, ZEB Ultimate Flight Attendant, ZEB Select+ and ZEB Select |
| Serial numbers | from 07T6XXXXXXXX to 42T6XXXXXXXX |
| Where to find the number | on the back of the crown, visible with the fork fitted |
| Defect | out-of-specification upper tube |
| Risk | sudden loss of air pressure |
| Advice | stop riding during the evaluation |
To find out whether your RockShox ZEB is affected, simply look behind the crown. The serial number is printed there, and it remains readable with the fork fitted to the bike.
Which RockShox ZEB forks are affected
RockShox says it is evaluating a possible safety issue on four versions of the ZEB: Ultimate, Ultimate Flight Attendant, Select+ and Select. The notice covers forks with serial numbers between 07T6XXXXXXXX and 42T6XXXXXXXX.
An out-of-spec tube and a circlip that can pop out
The bulletin describes an out-of-specification upper tube that may cause a loss of air pressure during use. RockShox describes the scenario: an impact followed by a sudden rebound of the fork can dislodge the circlip of the air spring assembly, and the fork then suddenly loses its pressure.
Stop riding while awaiting next steps
RockShox advises riders whose fork falls within the serial number range to stop riding while the evaluation continues. In its statement, the brand commits to what comes next: “If action is required, RockShox will work directly with affected riders to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and at no cost.”
