Reverse Machete: two German-machined stems for enduro and downhill

IN BRIEF

German manufacturer Reverse Components is launching the Machete stems in two versions. The Machete Enduro 35, for single-crown forks, targets freeride, slopestyle, enduro and e-MTB; it weighs 226 g and clamps the handlebar over 62 mm. The Machete Direct Mount 50, for dual-crown forks, is aimed at downhill and freeride; it weighs 171 g with a 75 mm clamp. Both are machined in Germany and listed at €159.90 each.

With its new Machete stems, German manufacturer Reverse Components highlights stiffness, very wide clamping surfaces and sturdy hardware. The range comprises two models: a conventional stem for single-crown forks, and a direct-mount stem for dual-crown downhill forks.

Reverse Machete Enduro 35: a 62 mm clamp for enduro and freeride

The Machete Enduro 35 is 35 mm long and weighs 226 g, give or take 5 %. The product page describes it as machined from solid in Germany, with a handlebar clamping surface widened to 62 mm for stiffness and steering precision. Reverse pairs it with M5 bolts and laser-engraved logos.

The official product page states that it is made for the harshest use in freeride, slopestyle, e-MTB and enduro. It says the stem has been tested at Rampage and on the Crankworx circuit. Optional shims allow a 35 mm or 31.8 mm handlebar to be fitted.

A 7075 direct-mount stem for downhill

The Machete Direct Mount 50 mounts directly on the upper crown of a dual-crown fork. It is 50 mm long and weighs 171 g, with the same 5 % tolerance. Reverse says it is machined in Germany from 7075 aluminium, with a 75 mm clamping surface.

The manufacturer presents it as designed for downhill and freeride, up to Rampage and Hardline level. It too accepts 35 mm and 31.8 mm handlebars thanks to optional shims.

Same price for both Machete stems

Reverse lists both models at the same recommended retail price of €159.90. The descriptions mention black or silver anodised finishes. On both stems, the product pages highlight the clamp width, in the service of stiffness.
