A carbon frame designed for gravel, not for the road
The starting point for every Megamo Along is a carbon frame designed for gravel from the outset. The brand has gone for a geometry that favours stability and vibration damping, without sacrificing efficiency over long distances. Clearance for 50c tyres is non-negotiable: here it is the frame that adapts to the tyre, not the other way round. Sizes S to XL keep a consistent handling character thanks to proportional adjustments to chainstay length, reach and stack.
On the best-equipped models, fully integrated cable routing and the one-piece carbon cockpit add a touch of aerodynamics and visual restraint. This technical choice is not only about looks: it aims to cut wind resistance and limit sources of unwanted noise on long rides.
Two Avinox motors to cover every use
The Along range splits between two Avinox motor units. The Along 01, 03 CW and 03 models get the M2S, capable of delivering up to 150 Nm of torque in Boost mode and 1,300 W at peak, with assistance modes calibrated for gravel: progressive power on climbs, enough reserve for technical sections, and assistance management that avoids the “kick” effect sometimes felt with other systems. The Along 10 and Flatbar versions are fitted with the M2, which puts out 110 Nm and 1,100 W, for a compromise between power, weight and affordability.
In every case, the Avinox DPC100 display is integrated into the frame’s top tube. It focuses on readability and simplicity, without breaking the line of the frame. The 600 Wh battery sits in the down tube, and the top-end models accept fast charging via a 12A charger, while the others make do with a 4A charger for a full overnight charge.
Drivetrains designed for gravel, with no compromise on reliability
Three models in the range adopt the SRAM XPLR platform: Force AXS for the Along 01, Rival AXS for the Along 03 CW and 03. That choice is no accident: the XPLR drivetrain was developed for gravel, with a wide-range 13-speed cassette and wireless shifting that avoids the complications of routing cables inside the carbon frame. The absence of a front derailleur simplifies maintenance and limits the risk of dropping the chain, a detail that matters when the track turns chaotic.
The Along 10 and Flatbar turn to Shimano, with the GRX and Deore groupsets. Here the philosophy is different: priority goes to durability, mechanical simplicity and ease of maintenance, even far from any specialist workshop. This choice also makes it possible to offer a flat-bar model, designed for everyday journeys or for riders who prefer a more upright position.
Wheels and tyres to take on every surface
Whatever the version, every Along rolls on Vittoria Terreno T50 Mixed tyres in 50c. Their profile and volume ensure good efficiency on hardpacked gravel and tarmac, while offering the grip and comfort needed on rougher tracks. The best-specified models get Vision TC45 i30 carbon wheels, while the others rely on Megamo All Road aluminium wheels, proven on demanding terrain.
Standardising the tyre across the whole range reflects Megamo’s aim of guaranteeing a consistent experience, whatever the level of equipment. The rest of the components change according to where the model sits in the line-up, but the technical base stays the same.
A range aimed at demanding riders, from adventurers to daily commuters
The Along range runs from the 01 model, listed at €7,999 with a SRAM Force AXS drivetrain, DT Swiss F132 fork and carbon wheels, down to the Flatbar at €3,699, which offers the same frame and the same battery in a more affordable configuration. All share the same philosophy: letting you go further, over more types of terrain, without changing the way you ride.
Megamo is targeting riders who want to push the limits of electric gravel, with no compromise on the quality of the chassis or the coherence of the whole package. The brand highlights the light weight of its carbon frame and one of the highest motor outputs in the segment.
