Prologo launches the Predator//02, a triathlon saddle that fits standard seatposts

IN BRIEF

Prologo is expanding its range of integrated saddles for triathlon and time trialling with the Predator//02, unveiled just before the start of the 2026 Tour de France. The change from the original model: Nack carbon rails with a standard 7×9 mm oval section, which make the saddle compatible with most seatposts on the market, whereas the first Predator required a proprietary post. Two versions are offered, TT and TRI, at 569 euros.

The original Predator laid the foundations of an integrated saddle designed specifically for triathlon and time trialling, developed with triathlete Sam Laidlow, Ironman world champion, and the Visma | Lease a Bike team. But it required a proprietary seatpost, a barrier to adoption. The Predator//02, unveiled in early July 2026, addresses that point while retaining the modular architecture of the original model.

Nack rails for universal compatibility

The central change on the Predator//02 lies in its Nack carbon rails, with a standard 7×9 mm oval section. That dimension matches the most widespread standard among seatpost manufacturers, which allows the saddle to be fitted to most triathlon and time trial frames on the market, without a proprietary adapter. The rails also remain replaceable independently of the shell, in keeping with the modular design of the Predator range.

The shell, made of injected long-fibre carbon, contributes to a claimed weight of 159 g for the TT version. The dimensions remain identical to those of the previous model: 260 × 110 mm.

Predator//02: two versions, TT and TRI

The Predator//02 comes in two versions. The TT, with a narrow 50 mm nose and thin padding at the rear, targets pure time trialling. The TRI, with a wider 60 mm nose and more generous padding, is aimed at long-distance triathlon, where comfort counts for more over the duration of a race.

Both versions are offered at the same price, 569 euros. Prologo positions the Predator//02 as a more accessible entry point into its integrated range, without the fitting constraints of the previous generation.
