The Sklar SuperSomething is getting a new fork. Bikepacking.com reports that when the V2 version launched, the matching steel fork was still the stock fitment; the Sklarbon Fiber carbon fork now equips both the frame kits and the complete bikes.
A 530 g carbon fork on the Sklar SuperSomething
The Sklarbon Fiber weighs 530 g. It has three-point mounts, rack and mudguard eyelets and a 12 x 100 mm thru-axle, and takes tyres up to 700c x 2.25 inches, the fork’s official product page states. The fork “provides light and zippy handling while still absorbing that rough gravel chatter,” explains Adam of Sklar Bikes, quoted by bikepacking.com.
The chromoly steel fork, painted to match the frame, remains available for those who prefer it. The official product page specifies that the frame is compatible with the Sklarbon Fiber and with other carbon gravel or suspension forks.

A Californian brand, frames made in Taiwan
Bikepacking.com notes that Adam Sklar spent two decades building custom frames before turning to production bikes made in Taiwan, starting with the SuperSomething. The official product page confirms it: production frames like this one are made in Taiwan.
This new batch comes in two colourways, Golden Hills and Atmospheric River. The Radavist reports a new XL size, of around 62 cm, and specifies that the geometry stays the same, with slightly revised sizes. The SuperSomething comes in five frame sizes.
Prices in dollars, frames in stock
Bikepacking.com gives a starting price of $1,599 for the frame with steel fork, and $1,900 with the carbon fork. Sklar offers two complete bikes: a SRAM Rival AXS and GX Transmission build at $4,850, and a SRAM Red AXS build at $7,250. On 6 October, The Radavist wrote that the new frames and forks were in stock and shipping the same day.
