IN BRIEF

British brand Whyte Bikes has signed an exclusive distribution agreement for France with Royal Vélo France (RVF), which already distributes brands such as SRAM and Rudy Project. RVF will bring Whyte’s mountain bike, gravel and urban/trekking ranges to French shops, led by the Karve and Karve EVO electric mountain bikes with DJI Avinox motors. The bikes will be shown at the Roc d’Azur, from 8 to 11 October in Fréjus, sold to dealers straight afterwards, and will reach shops from spring 2027.

Whyte Bikes is continuing its return to international markets. After the United States, Germany and Austria, the British brand announced on 1 October its arrival in France, through an exclusive agreement with Royal Vélo France.

Royal Vélo France takes charge of Whyte, from stock to after-sales

The distributor will do more than resell: according to the announcement, RVF will handle sales, stock, warranty, spare parts, dealer training and credit management for Whyte in France, with regional marketing carried out jointly with the brand. Three bike families are covered: mountain, gravel and urban/trekking.

“Having Whyte represented in France has been a personal ambition of mine since joining the business,” says Nikki Hawyes, CEO of Whyte Bikes. On the distributor’s side, Paul Didier, CEO of Royal Vélo France: “We are honoured to have been entrusted with the brand’s launch in France.”

Karve electric mountain bikes spearhead Whyte in France

The Karve models lead the way. All four versions get the DJI Avinox M2S motor, a fixed 800 Wh battery and the DPC100 display. The Karve, which Whyte presents as an aggressive trail/enduro electric mountain bike, offers 160 mm of travel; the Karve EVO, designed for descending and self-powered climbs, steps up to 180 mm and runs a mixed-wheel setup, with a smaller rear wheel.

First outing at the Roc d’Azur

The French public will be able to see the Karve, the Karve EVO and a selection of other models on RVF’s stand at the Roc d’Azur, in Fréjus, from 8 to 11 October. Sales to shops will start right after the show, with bikes expected in stores from spring 2027. The range can be viewed on the Whyte website.
