Some brands answer the mountains with aerodynamics, others answer with the scales. LOOK picked its side a long time ago, and the 785 Huez RS unveiled on 6 August makes its purpose plain: this is a climber’s bike, sold as such, with weight figures serving as the sales pitch.
LOOK 785 Huez RS: an 830 g frame, 6.6 kg on the scales
The official spec sheet claims 830 g for the frame and 360 g for the fork, and complete builds at 6.6 kg. “The 785 Huez RS is LOOK Cycle’s lightest bike”, the brand writes on its product page, aiming it at “climbers looking for a unique product with exceptional efficiency”. The wording is the manufacturer’s, and these weights are claimed figures, not independent measurements.

The 6.6 kg figure corresponds to the top-of-the-range build, the one that pairs the SRAM RED AXS E1 groupset with Scope Artech 2 wheels. The Shimano Ultegra Di2 version, fitted with Fulcrum Speed 25 or Speed 42 wheels, is claimed at between 7.2 and 7.4 kg according to the brand’s press release. The official spec sheet also gives a maximum tyre section of 32 mm.
Three prices, from €3,190 to €11,990
On LOOK’s French store, the 785 Huez RS frameset is listed at €3,190. For a complete bike, there are two entry points: €7,490 for the Shimano Ultegra Di2 version, and €11,990 for the SRAM RED AXS E1 and Scope Artech 2 version, the 6.6 kg one.
Painted and assembled in Burgundy
LOOK stresses a point few brands can still put forward on a carbon road bike: according to the official spec sheet, the 785 Huez RS is “carefully painted and assembled in our factory in Burgundy”. The mention is a selling point as much as an industrial marker.
“Whether you attack as soon as the road tilts upwards or you set out to conquer every legendary climb, the 785 Huez RS gives you what every climber dreams of: the perfect balance between light weight and power transfer”, says Romain Simon, bike product manager at LOOK Cycle, in the brand’s press release.
The bike is available from selected LOOK dealers and on the brand’s website.
