The Van Rysel E-EDR AF gains a new version. Decathlon sells it under the name “Vélo de route électrique SRAM Apex 1x12v, E-EDR AF rouge” (French for “electric road bike”, in red), at €2,499.99. The product page aims it at rides with “longer and steeper” climbs.
The Van Rysel E-EDR AF keeps its Mahle X35 motor
Assistance is still provided by the Mahle X35 system: a 250 W motor delivering 40 Nm of torque, paired with a 250 Wh battery. Decathlon claims a range of more than 100 km. The product page sums up the intent in three words: “Conquer mountain passes”.
A SRAM Apex 1×12 version alongside two others
This version gets a SRAM Apex 1×12 drivetrain, with a single chainring up front and twelve sprockets at the rear, like the AXS version. The product page promises that it “makes your steep climbs easier without penalising you on the flat”.
The E-EDR AF is also available with Shimano 105 2×11 and with SRAM Apex AXS, a wireless electronic groupset. On 22 July, Decathlon’s product feed listed this AXS version at €2,799.99, then at €1,599.99 in an offer updated by Decathlon on 01/09/2026.
