Pivot Cycles has put a page dedicated to road riding online. Its headline, “A Race Bike Built for Humans”, sums up the intent behind the Pivot Pravia.

The teaser text promises to bring World Tour performance standards to the Tuesday-night breakaway, the local Strava segment, the climb you have been eyeing all summer, or that rare day when the legs respond, the road opens up and you decide not to back off. The official page says the bike is coming soon, with no date in its text.
Escape Collective reports that the launch is set for 3 November, and that Pivot is teasing the Pravia on its website as well as on its social media.
What the first images show
According to Escape Collective, this is the first road bike from this mountain-bike-focused brand. Pivot already makes drop-bar bikes, such as the Vault, originally designed for cyclocross before becoming a gravel bike, and the LES, described by Escape Collective as a drop-bar mountain bike hardtail. According to the same outlet, the Pravia would be its first foray onto tarmac.
Based on the few images available, Escape Collective believes the bike appears to be a performance-oriented road model, with fully integrated cable routing and a one-piece handlebar and stem. The fork crown seems to offer generous tyre clearance, although it is not known what tyre width is fitted in the photo.
