Hutchinson is adding three products to its Bike Care maintenance range: a brake cleaner, wipes for cleaning a bike without water and a protective finishing spray. According to Hutchinson’s official product pages, all three are made in France, and the wipes are soaked in a 100% biodegradable formula. Shine Bike adds a fourth step, protection, to the brand’s clean-degrease-lubricate routine. Announced prices range from €9.99 to €22.99.

Hutchinson is expanding its maintenance line. According to the Spanish site Todo Mountain Bike, the brand’s routine had until now rested on three steps: clean, degrease, lubricate. The three new products, the same site reports, take the system to four steps while strengthening a range developed and made in France.
Hutchinson Bike Care: a brake cleaner and waterless wipes
Brake Cleaner comes as a 400 ml aerosol. It is formulated for discs, pads, rim brake blocks and callipers, and is meant to remove oil, grease, brake dust and built-up grime, according to Todo Mountain Bike, which lists it at €9.99 in Europe, as does the Spanish magazine Mountainbike.es.
According to Todo Mountain Bike, Wipe Cleaner is a box of 40 wipes for cleaning a bike without water, designed for situations where a conventional wash area is not available. They are cut from a plant-based fabric and soaked in a cherry-scented biodegradable formula that removes mud and dust without rinsing. Hutchinson keeps them in an airtight inner pouch to stop them drying out and supplies a microfibre cloth for finishing. The announced price in Europe is €22.99, according to Todo Mountain Bike, Mountainbike.es and the Dutch edition of Bicycling.
Shine Bike, the fourth step
Shine Bike is a 400 ml protective spray, to be applied to the frame, fork, wheels and accessories once the bike is clean and dry. It can be used on both glossy and matt surfaces. Mountainbike.es says it is made entirely in France and lists it at €9.99.
According to Todo Mountain Bike, Bike Cleaner remains the first step of the system, in a 1-litre spray bottle and a 5-litre refill.
