IN BRIEF
Wheel maker Newmen is bringing its Streem G.62 aero gravel wheel to 32-inch. The pair weighs 1,670 g in the 21-spoke carbon version, 140 g more than the 28-inch version, thanks to the Boost standard. The rim keeps its 62 mm depth and 27 mm internal width, for 45 to 50 mm tyres. Newmen states that it is initially reserved for bike manufacturers’ original equipment, and road.cc points out that it cannot yet be bought on its own.

Newmen is presenting a 32-inch version of its Streem G.62, the aero gravel wheel it already sells in 700c. On its product page, Newmen writes that the G.62 opens its 32-inch range, and that it has already won a race: Sea Otter Europe.
The 32-inch Streem G.62 adds only 140 g
Newmen claims 1,670 g per pair, 140 g more than the 28-inch version. The brand attributes this small difference to the Boost standard: the wider spacing of the hub flanges gives the larger wheel stiffness comparable to that of the smaller one, without having to add spokes or use heavier ones. The wheel is built with 21 carbon spokes or 24 steel spokes.
road.cc details the two versions: the Streem G.62 CS, with 21 Vonoa carbon spokes, weighs 1,670 g; the Streem G.62, with 24 Sapim CX Ray spokes, 1,760 g. The official product page lists a rim 62 mm deep, 45 mm wide externally and 27 mm internally, a width Newmen pairs with 45 to 50 mm gravel tyres. The brand promises the same comfort and the same crosswind stability as in 28-inch.
Bike manufacturers first
Newmen writes that the 32-inch G.62 is initially available for the original equipment market only: it will therefore arrive fitted to complete bikes. The manufacturer’s page does not name any bike. road.cc expects big-wheeled gravel race bikes to arrive very soon from brands such as Cube, and notes that the choice of 32-inch gravel tyres is still thin.

For reference, the 700c version of the Streem G.62 CS weighs 1,530 g, and Newmen lists it at €1,690 per pair, against €1,390 for the steel-spoke version.
