IN BRIEF
Muc-Off, the bike-care specialist, is investing in its factories and warehouses. Its new UK production site, The Hangar, turns out 70,000 bottles a week and includes a 75,000 sq ft warehouse that replaces the previous 52,000 sq ft one. The brand is also opening a new warehouse in South Carolina for North America, and its operations teams have grown by 20% on both sides of the Atlantic.
Seventy thousand bottles a week. That is the output Muc-Off announces for The Hangar, its new British production site, in a press release dated 6 October in Poole.
The Hangar, Muc-Off’s new factory
Muc-Off has installed modern production equipment there and increased its capacity to make its cleaners, lubricants and protection products, for cycling as well as motorsport. The bottles it produces go to key accounts, independent shops and online sales.

The site also includes a more energy-efficient 75,000 sq ft warehouse, which replaces the former 52,000 sq ft building. The brand cites solar power and LED lighting throughout the building.
A new warehouse in South Carolina
Across the Atlantic, Muc-Off has invested in a purpose-built warehouse in South Carolina to keep up with sales growth in North America. The press release describes it as significantly larger than the previous one. The press release states that both sites are now operational.
The programme comes with new hires: the operations team has grown by 20% across the UK and US sites.
“Our investments are keeping pace”
“We’ve been growing fast, and our investments are keeping pace with that,” says Alex Trimnell, owner, CEO and member of Muc-Off’s founding family. In his view, The Hangar provides “the modern ecofriendly production capability, capacity and headroom” the company needs to keep pushing forward. With what has been built in South Carolina, he sees the creation of “a much stronger, more connected global operation”.
