A design built first and foremost for the road

With the Upon, Megamo is speaking directly to road cycling enthusiasts who want electric assistance without compromising on performance. Unlike some electric bikes that adopt a hybrid geometry, the Upon is designed specifically for the road, both in its geometry and in its components.

The SL carbon frame, paired with an optimised geometry, offers a longer reach and a low bottom bracket, features that are essential for greater control and stability. These technical choices make it possible to use the Avinox motor’s power effectively without altering the way the bike behaves when climbing or at high speed.

A motor calibrated for road cycling

The heart of the Upon lies in its Avinox motor, available in two versions: M2 and M2S. With peak power of 1100 W and 1500 W respectively, they are specifically calibrated for road use. The emphasis is on smooth, progressive power delivery, ideal for the peloton.

With torque reaching 150 Nm, the Upon stands out on long climbs and sustained group efforts. The 600 Wh battery is integrated as a fixed unit, guaranteeing a clean look without compromising the design of the frame.

Simplicity and efficiency at the heart of the concept

Megamo has chosen not to offer a removable battery, favouring maximum integration. That suits the road cyclist who prioritises long rides and simple charging at home. With a claimed range of 70 to 120 km, the Upon comfortably covers the needs of rides lasting several hours.

Available from £3,999, this model is aimed at cyclists looking for high-performance assistance over long distances on tarmac, while keeping the comfort and ergonomics of a classic road bike.
