IN BRIEF
French manufacturer Chiru has unveiled the Vagus:i, a grade 9 titanium gravel bike whose “i” stands for integration. The same frame takes two carbon forks: an Enve for tyres up to 50 mm, or a CEC #425W that clears up to 60 mm at the front. At the rear, clearance goes up to 700 × 52C. The frame is listed from €2,950 on the brand’s website, in sizes XS to XL, and Tour expects first deliveries in February 2027.

One frame, two characters. With the Chiru Vagus:i, the French manufacturer that Tour describes as a small-batch specialist lets the fork decide between what the magazine calls fast gravel and the drop-bar mountain bike.
The Chiru Vagus:i is tuned by its fork
The brand’s configurator offers two carbon forks. The Enve Gravel In-Route (+€530) limits front tyres to 50 mm, for a bike designed to be direct and precise on fast tracks. The CEC #425W (+€395) opens clearance up to 60 mm, for more comfort and margin on technical trails or when bikepacking.

At the rear, the titanium frame leaves room for tyres up to 700 × 52C. Chiru recommends widths of 45 to 52 mm at the rear and 50 to 55 mm at the front, Tour specifies.
Triple-butted titanium, for 1,620 grams
The frame is made from 3Al-2.5V titanium, grade 9. Tour describes triple-butted tubes, with variable wall thickness and bi-oval profiles, to combine lightness, stiffness and titanium’s characteristic comfort. Chiru claims 1,620 grams for the frame, and the complete bike shown reportedly weighs 7.8 kg, the magazine states, without specifying its build.

From €2,950, shipping in 2027
On Chiru’s website, the frame starts at €2,950 incl. VAT, in five sizes from XS to XL. Tour lists the frame kit with CEC fork, headset and seat clamp from €3,345. The magazine states that pre-orders open after the bike’s presentation at the Roc d’Azur on 8 October, and that first deliveries are planned for February 2027.
