IN BRIEF

DT Swiss announces the retail sale of its gravel suspension forks, launched on the Canyon Grail CFR RIFT. The brand announces two versions with 40 mm of travel: the F 132 One, with a handlebar lockout, at €1,149, and the F 132, without lockout, at €809. Each comes in three offsets, 45, 50 and 56 mm, to recreate the handling of a rigid fork. They take tyres up to 50 mm.

DT Swiss’s gravel fork made its debut on the Canyon Grail CFR RIFT. DT Swiss announces that it is now selling it separately, to fit other bikes, and is adding a simpler, cheaper version.

DT Swiss gravel fork: two 40 mm versions

Both forks offer 40 mm of travel. The F 132 One uses the Plaingain damping and the Pushcontrol lockout: one press on the handlebar remote locks the fork, the next releases it. Rebound adjusts over nine clicks, via a dial at the bottom of the lower leg. The remote, sold for left or right, costs €54.

The F 132 does without a remote. DT Swiss specifies that its Openflow damping keeps the fork always open, with no lockout or adjustable rebound. DT Swiss aims it mainly at long gravel rides, bikepacking and electric gravel.

Three offsets, 50 mm tyres

DT Swiss announces three offsets for both versions, 45, 50 or 56 mm, to keep the feel of the original rigid fork. The forks take tyres up to 50 mm wide and 725 mm in diameter, with a 12 x 100 mm axle and flat mount callipers. The official spec sheet gives an installation length of 435 mm. MTB-News warns that if the original rigid fork is significantly shorter, fitting this one alters the frame geometry and steering, and advises getting the frame manufacturer’s approval before buying. The official spec sheet states that adapters allow bags or bottles to be mounted on the lower legs, up to 3 kg on each side.

The brand claims 1,340 g for the F 132 One, without remote, cable, axle or RWS lever, and 1,380 g for the F 132, without axle or RWS lever. On the maintenance side, road.cc reports that a small service is recommended every 150 hours of riding, or once a year.
