IN BRIEF
Spot is renewing its Rocker hardtail, whose third-generation carbon frame takes either a derailleur drivetrain (UDH or SRAM Full Mount dropout) or a single-speed belt. The belt version gets the Spotter, a small guide that stops the belt from skipping, and a 42 x 26 ratio that gains around 7 mm of ground clearance. With a 120 mm fork, the head angle moves to 66.4°. On the European product page, the Rocker sells from €4,033.95 as a complete bike and €2,950.95 as a frame kit, with deliveries in November.

“There are things we miss about metal hardtails. Weight isn’t one of them.” That is how Spot introduces the Rocker Carbon Gen 3: a carbon hardtail mountain bike that keeps the forgiveness, traction and natural movement of its best metal hardtails. The frame gets a 73 mm threaded bottom bracket, interchangeable dropouts and a choice between derailleur and belt.
A Spot Rocker with a derailleur or a belt
The same frame accepts two rear dropouts. On the drivetrain side, the new derailleur dropout uses the UDH interface to fit a conventional derailleur, or takes a SRAM Full Mount drivetrain directly. The other dropout is for the single-speed belt. In both cases, the product page lists 15 mm of chainstay length adjustment, from 426 to 441 mm.

The main addition concerns the belt. Spot describes the Spotter as a small guide placed under the belt at the rear pulley, which stays just clear of the belt during normal riding. The brand has also reduced the pulley sizes: by moving from a 46 x 28 to a 42 x 26, it says it gains around 7 mm of ground clearance, with almost identical gearing. The complete bike comes with a 113-tooth belt.
Geometry revised for the 120 mm fork
With a 120 mm fork, the product page gives a head angle of 66.4 degrees and a bottom bracket drop increased to 62 mm. Reach grows by 5 mm across the four sizes. Depending on the build, the fork is a 120 mm RockShox SID Ultimate or SID Select, and the page lists Schwalbe Rick Evo XC Pro tyres in 29 x 2.4. The frame accepts 4-piston calipers and 180 mm rotors, and ISCG tabs around the bottom bracket allow a bash guard to be fitted.

Spot’s European product page lists the frame kit at €2,950.95, whichever drivetrain is chosen. As a complete bike, the Rocker starts at €4,033.95 in 4-Star single-speed and €4,328.95 in 4-Star derailleur; the 5-Star derailleur version costs €4,820.95 and the 6-Star derailleur €7,182.95. Deliveries are announced for November.
