Firefly Bicycles, known for its custom titanium frames, is adding the Firefly Radar Mount to its catalogue, a rear radar mount 3D-printed in the same metal. The part takes the form of a circular housing that holds a Garmin or Wahoo insert, chosen when ordering, and bolts directly to the brand’s seat collar rather than using the rubber strap supplied by radar makers. It accepts the Wahoo Trackr Radar and three Garmin Varia units — RearVue 820, RTL515 and RVR315 — but not the Varia RCT715. Reckon on $125, on top of a Firefly seat collar starting at $120: according to Bikerumor, the mount “is only compatible with Firefly’s Seat Collars, both standard and integrated”.

On a road bike, the rear radar is usually held on by a rubber strap wrapped around the seatpost. Firefly Bicycles, which Bikerumor describes as a workshop building “custom titanium frames, along with a growing range of components to accompany them”, offers another route: a 3D-printed titanium mount that replaces the strap with a mechanical link to the seat collar.

Bikerumor describes the part as a circular housing 3D-printed in titanium, “inside of which a Garmin or Wahoo insert is then attached” — the insert sits inside the housing, and it is the insert that carries the radar’s quarter-turn attachment. Buyers choose between the Garmin version and the Wahoo version when ordering. Fitting it is not immediate, though: Bikerumor states that “attaching the Radar Mount requires swapping one of the collar’s barrels out for one with a short extension”, with the foot of the mount then bolting onto that extension.
The mount pivots to adjust its angle. It can also be flipped to sit above or below the collar, which, according to Bikerumor, allows for different frame sizes and for the height at which you want the radar to sit.
Compatible with four radars, but not the Varia RCT715
The compatibility list covers the Wahoo Trackr Radar and three Garmin models: the Varia RearVue 820, the Varia RTL515 and the Varia RVR315. Bikerumor states, on the other hand, that the Garmin Varia RCT715 — the version with a camera — is not compatible, as the Firefly product page also indicates: “Not compatible with: Garmin Varia RCT715”.
Beyond radars, the Firefly product page says the mount takes “almost any light that attaches to a Garmin or Wahoo mount”, meaning most rear lights with a Garmin or Wahoo fitting. The weight, on the other hand, is missing: Bikerumor writes that “Firefly did not share the weight of the Radar Mount, nor is it listed on the product page of the website”.
An accessory that requires another
There is a condition, and it weighs on the final bill: the mount only fits a Firefly seat collar, standard or integrated into the post. Those collars, which the brand describes as a twin-barrel design meant to align the bolt and spread the clamping load, start at $120.
The mount is listed at $125 on the official store. Viewed in a browser from France on 27 August 2026, the page served that price in US dollars: its structured data that day carried “priceCurrency”:“USD”. Bikerumor states that buying both parts at the same time takes $13 off the price of the mount; the outlet concludes that “these bits are undoubtedly luxury items”.
