Ritchey has updated its Streem road handlebar with a redesigned shape: a compact drop, 10 degrees of flare, an 80 mm reach and shaped tops with 5 degrees of backsweep. And the price is coming down: Bikerumor points out that the brand “managed to lower its price compared to the model it replaces”, in “an industry where prices rarely go down”. The bar comes in two versions with strictly identical dimensions, WCS in triple-butted 6066 alloy at €109.90 incl. VAT and Comp in double-butted 6061 alloy at €59.90 incl. VAT. Four widths, from 36/40 to 42/46 cm between hoods and drops.

This aluminium handlebar update is worth a look for a reason that has less to do with its shape than with its price tag: Ritchey is announcing a lower price. Bikerumor puts it plainly — “in an industry where prices rarely go down, that is a refreshing thing to hear”.
What the new shape of the Ritchey Streem handlebar changes
The Streem has been in the Ritchey range for years. On its official product page, the brand writes that the handlebar “has built its reputation by consistently performing on long road rides and hard race days, where both speed and comfort matter”. The update brings the alloy into line with what Ritchey had already done in 2025 on the carbon SuperLogic Streem.
In practice, the geometry chosen is a 120 mm drop, an 80 mm reach, 10 degrees of flare and 5 degrees of backsweep on shaped tops. The flare pushes the drops slightly outwards, which widens the hand position on descents without forcing a wide stance up top; the backsweep, for its part, brings the wrists into a more natural angle when holding the flat sections.
Fergus Tanaka, marketing director at Ritchey Design, sums up the intention: “The Streem has always been made for riders who want it all: the speed of an aero bar and enough comfort to stay out for hours. This update brings the shape in line with the way people ride today, and we found a way to lower the price at the same time.”
WCS or Comp: same dimensions, two prices
This is the interesting point for anyone who has to replace a handlebar without spending a month’s wages. Bikerumor sets it out clearly: “Despite their material and price differences, the WCS and Comp versions of the Streem share identical dimensions and size options.” In other words, the position on the bike is the same, €50 apart.
The WCS version is described as the premium offering, in triple-butted 6066 alloy, with fully internal cable routing and a claimed weight of 310 g in 42 cm. The simpler Comp is built from double-butted 6061 alloy and quoted at 330 g in the same width. Twenty grams therefore separate the two versions, for €50 of difference — but the gap comes mainly from the alloy. Ritchey mentions “fully internal” cable routing only on the WCS product page; the Comp page states for its part that cables “can be routed inside the handlebar”, without further detail. For reference, the previous generation of the WCS Streem was quoted at 287 g in the same 42 cm width and the same triple-butted 6066 alloy: the new shape therefore adds back 23 g.
Both come in four sizes, expressed by Ritchey as width at the hoods then at the drops: 36/40, 38/42, 40/44 and 42/46 cm. Bikerumor states that the handlebar is available now from Ritchey and its dealers worldwide. Ritchey specifies on both official product pages that the bar is not compatible with its own C260 stem — a point to check before ordering.
